A Paediatric Rehabilitation Course for Nurses

Stepping Stones to Rehabilitation Nursing
Course Description:
This course is designed for Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses who work with children and adolescents who have disabilities and /or chronic illnesses. Nurses who work in acute care, rehabilitation, schools, home and community settings will be presented with up to date information on rehabilitation nursing care of children and adolescents. Your knowledge of current rehabilitation nursing interventions for children with various disabilities will be enhanced.

Brain Injury Family Intervention: An Evidence-Based Approach
October 7-8, 2009
Bloorview Kids Rehab, Conference Centre
This two-day interactive workshop will focus on clinical intervention for professionals (e.g., social workers, psychologists, rehabilitation counsellors) who work with families of persons who have sustained an acquired brain injury.

Space in the BIFI session (intervention for adults) has already sold out.
There are still a few spaces left for the BIFI-A session (intervention for adolescents) ... but these are filling up too.

2009 OARN Annual General Meeting
In conjunction with the RNAO AGM from April 23 - 25, the 2009 OARN is holding our AGM on Saturday April 25, 2009. Registration for the OARN AGM is free and includes a light breakfast. All OARN members are welcome. You don't have to attend the RNAO AGM to attend our AGM on Saturday morning. If you don't want breakfast, you can still come to the meeting.
