The Registered Nurses´ Foundation of Ontario (RNFOO) has announced that the application process for the 2014 RNFOO Awards and Scholarships will be open by December 16, 2013.
RNFOO is a charitable organization that provides financial support for Registered Nurses and nursing students in Ontario to further their educational studies, conduct nursing and health care research, and support community health initiatives. Awards and Scholarships are available for study at the certificate, undergraduate and graduate levels.
There are awards available for students enrolled in RPN programs, baccalaureate nursing studies (post-diploma, 4 year, and 2nd level entry), Graduate studies (Masters, Nurse Practitioner, and PhD), and for RNs undertaking continuing education or special projects.
Information about the awards process can be found on the RNFOO website. The RNFOO Awards Brochure contains details about the awards that are available.

Canada had over 50 athletes at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games. Live coverage of the games from March 7 to March 16 2014 could be found at http://www.paralympic.ca/live-stream and http://www.cbc.ca/sports/paralympics.
During these events the OARN website displayed the latest medal counts below the navigation bar on the left of the home page and other pages. We celebrated with these Canadian athletes here and on Twitter as they challenged the world in Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Cross Country Skiing, Sledge Hockey, Snowboard and Wheelchair Curling.

Description: Our annual conference, formerly The Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Conference will now incorporate TBI of all ranges of severity, from mild to severe.
With this new and exciting direction, we will be expanding the conference format to include a Call for Abstracts. An invitation for abstracts is extended to all researchers, physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, nurses, social workers, and other clinicians and administrators who practice in the Traumatic Brain Injury environment.
